Can bitters go bad?

Bitters contain denatured alcohol which acts as a preservative. Just as a barrel of whisky or bottle of wine can last years, so too can your delicious bitters. Our bitters are made with natural ingredients so you may notice some settling after some time but this is completely harmless. Just give it a little shake and you're good to go.

 Do I need to refrigerate bitters?

You do not need to refrigerate bitters.

Can I give bitters to children?

We don't recommend giving bitters to children. Our bitters have been approved in Canada by the CRA and in USA by the TTB by organoleptic analysis as too bitter to be considered a beverage. This means that it is very unlikely someone would be able to consume enough of the product at one time to become intoxicated and it can be sold without the same restrictions as liquor, much like vanilla extract. That being said, it still might not be the best thing to offer your child.
